Job Description
Operational Execution of Construction Surveying Strategy
Implement and manage surveying and construction-control operations across multiple infrastructure projects in alignment with corporate strategy established by the Construction Operations Director.

Project-Level Authority and Oversight
Exercise independent authority over day-to-day surveying and technical office operations, including approval of methodologies, staffing decisions, cost control measures, and project execution plans.

Departmental Financial Management
Develop and administer departmental budgets; monitor cost performance; authorize expenditures related to surveying operations, equipment procurement, and subcontracted services.

Contract Administration and Vendor Oversight
Manage contracts related to surveying and technical services; evaluate subcontractor performance; ensure compliance with client agreements and regulatory requirements.

Personnel Authority
Hire, evaluate, discipline, and terminate personnel within the surveying and technical office department. Conduct performance reviews and implement workforce development initiatives.

Multi-Project Coordination
Oversee surveying integration across concurrent construction projects; coordinate with engineering, construction management, and design teams to ensure alignment with project schedules and regulatory requirements.

Compliance and Risk Management
Establish and enforce operational controls to ensure adherence to safety regulations, land-use laws, engineering standards, and contractual obligations.

Executive Reporting
Provide performance, budget, and operational reports to the Construction Operations Director; recommend process improvements and resource adjustments.

Oversight of Technical Survey Functions
Supervise advanced surveying operations (e.g., TOPCAL, GPS/GNSS, 3D scanners, ISTRAM, drone systems, LiDAR) and approve final deliverables, ensuring accuracy and compliance — without serving primarily as a field survey technician.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Eight years of combined surveying and construction experience, with leadership experience on large-scale infrastructure projects. Written and Oral Spanish- Proficiency level. Proficiency in geodetic and engineering instruments such as total stations, 3D scanners, GPS/GNSS, and drone systems. Strong communication, stakeholder management, multidisciplinary teams managing and problem-solving skills.
SALARY: $131,082 per year
HOURS: 40 hrs. per week, 9:00 AM to 5:00 P.M.
